Put up a SAGE Club

Here’s an idea.

We are continuously thinking of ways and means for SAGE Philippines to reach out to the many high schools in the Philippines.  So here’s an idea (thanks to our wonderful friends at SAGE Nigeria) we would like to propose:  put up a SAGE Club in your school or college.

Having a SAGE Club in your school gives you the advantage of access and sustainability:

For High Schools, having a SAGE Club creates the perfect atmosphere for business ideas to be explored.  A SAGE Club having many members can help its SAGE team (or teams) throughout the whole process of the competition from preparation to presentation.

For Colleges, students in Entrepreneurship and Business Management can take the opportunity to use their knowledge to coach and mentor the SAGE Teams.  SAGE becomes the perfect venue for high school and college students to collaborate especially since Colleges and High Schools in the Philippines are right beside each other.

HOW TO PUT UP A SAGE CLUB:

1.    Any duly registered Philippine high school (private or public) could organize a SAGE Club.
2.    A SAGE Club must be composed of at least 15 members, a Faculty Representative and a Parent Representative (preferably from the PTA Board).
3.    Members elect among their own, a President, Vice-President, Secretary, a Treasurer.
4.    To be accredited, a school must submit the following requirements to the SAGE Cup Philippines: Participation Committee Head
4.1    Members’ profile (including Parent and Faculty Representatives)
4.2    Accomplished SAGE Club Registration Form
4.3    Membership and ID Fee of PhP 50 that shall be forwarded to the Participation Committee Head, together with the aforementioned requirements.
5.    All constitution and bylaws must be approved by the SAGE Philippines Board.
6.    The SAGE Club is responsible for forming a SAGE Team that would compete for the SAGE Cup Philippines and if chosen, the SAGE World Cup. They have the option to conduct their own intra-school SAGE competition if there many teams who intent to join.
7.    There can only be one SAGE team from the school who can compete in the Nationals.
